Our data logger software dataLog is the reliable solution for large and complex logger fleets in vehicle and fleet testing. Having been improved continuously for over 20 years, dataLog offers a high-performance and versatile software base that can react quickly to a wide range of customer requirements. It has been developed for fleets with many or very large loggers and a high data volume, as is the case with autonomous vehicles, LiDAR systems, or data-intensive camera applications.

Highly Adjustable Thanks to Subconfigurations

The advantages of dataLog become especially apparent in fleets with many similar loggers: Thanks to the subconfiguration feature, individual parts of the configuration can be managed as flexible modules and adjusted as necessary. This means that for example the WLAN configuration can be changed centrally without affecting other configuration parts, saving companies with a large amount of loggers and recurring adjustments a lot of time.

Continuous Improvement with Regular Updates

In order to meet the latest requirements and wishes of our customers, we continue to optimize dataLog. Three releases are provided every year, the latest version coming with a long-term support of two years. This keeps dataLog up to date and provides you with continuously improved features.

OpenABK for an Extended Interface Communication

OpenABK lets data logger and intelligent display communicate bi-directionally, based on a client-server model. This allows you to visualize logger measurement values on the display as well as transmit orders from the display to the logger and change the logger mode or add comments to measurement data, among others. This flexible API provides various possible applications, such as visualizing vehicle data in real time, monitoring driving profiles, or automating processes, which makes it ideal for extended vehicle analyses and user-defined monitoring processes.

ScriptEngine for Customized Applications

dataLog includes a powerful scripting engine which supports user-defined scripts for data processing, analysis, and visualization. This programming interface allows you to customize and automate data handling processes in a comprehensive way. It is a powerful tool to optimize your vehicle data acquisition.

Automotive Ethernet and NML (No Message Lost) for a High Reliability

By integrating Automotive Ethernet and ASAM CMP, dataLog supports a reliable network architecture with high bandwidths and short lag times for your data acquisition. The No Message Lost function prevents data loss during system startup. If your inputs are configured accordingly, data will be recorded from the first millisecond of booting and later merged with the measurement in order to collect critical startup information.

Flexible Licensing

Thanks to its flexible licensing model, dataLog can be optimally adjusted to specific customer requirements. Even the basic version is fully configurable and offers all basic functions of the software. Moreover, dataLog can be extended with optional licenses for additional and customized functions – perfect for customers with specific demands on their logger fleets.
